Beauty How-To: Get Glowing Skin

how to get glowing skin
As I get older, I tend to think I have the basics of good skin down pat, but often I forget its the details that make the difference. Supermodels like Miranda Kerr have strict and well thought out regiments that have them looking their best, so why shouldn’t we follow in their footsteps.

Here are some of our favourite tips to have you feeling good inside and looking amazing on the outside!

Tip 1:

Don’t skip the toner. I know, the nightly routine can sometimes be a total drag (believe me there are nights when I just skip it!) but the tradeoff is less radiant skin. Adding toner to your daily routine can make the difference to your skin’s health helping balance your skins pH level and minimize rink pores.

Tip 2:

BB Cream. Thank god for the invent of BB Cream. The perfect blend of coverage with the properties of beauty balm is a great way to get a healthy, natural glow especially in summer. If you’re looking for more of a lightweight consistency with less coverage consider an organic tinted moisturizer. Organic formulas are often made with quality ingredients that help improve the look and feel of the skin.

Tip 3:

Hydrate your body, from the inside out. We all known how important water intake is for your insides, but its also super important and a super cheap way of hydrating and plumping your skin. According to Rae Morris, world renowned makeup artist “All you need to do is drink more water if you have cracked lips.” Two to three litres is an idea amount per day.

Tip 4:

Hit the gym. Its less about loosing weight and more about getting your heart rate going. Even quick laps around the block or a morning 20 minute walk is great. A healthy body equals healthy skin.

Tip 5:

Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Soft exfoliating or using our favourite product, the Clarisonic regularly, clean away dead skin cells leaving new skin looking radiant.

Tip 6:

Drink Green Tea. Delicious and good for you! Its high in antioxidants, and heaps of vitamins and is also an anti inflammatory.

Tip 7:

Hit the hay. Regular sleep can improve your complexion and boost your immune system.

What are some of your tips for beautiful, glowing skin?

I should use toner and not just splash my face with cold water and I would like to try BB cream. Oh, and I should definitely start exfoliating!

Diet! A healthy, clean diet of protein, fresh vegetables and fruit and good fats is essential for good skin. Eliminate processed food and restrict that sugar and alcohol!
