Running Spot #2 – Centennial Park (Eastern Suburbs)

With green grassy knolls, leafy old fig trees, and families of ducks filling the ponds; Centennial Park is a simply idyllic setting for walk or run. The white fence loop is quite short (approximately 3.5km) so it’s the perfect distance for a fast-paced dynamic dash.

With several loops differing in length and terrain, you can design your perfect run; rough it out on the dirt and grass, or coast along smooth concrete. This area is always buzzing with exercise enthusiasts and it’s easy to get that extra push of motivation from your running comrades.

I’m from Melbourne and when I come up for work, I love running around Centennial Park. The Tan running track in Melbourne is good, but nothing like Centennial Park. The white fence loop seems short because there’s so much beauty. Hands down my favourite track in Australia.
