Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined we would be in a lockdown situation, thanks to a worldwide pandemic named COVID-19. Our lives have been upended, and the things we usually took for granted have now been taken away from us.
Suddenly, that commute to work doesn’t appear as bad as it used to, and those visits we used to make to our families now seem like a luxury rather than a burden. Thankfully, this discomfort won’t last forever. There WILL be a time when the Coronavirus has been dealt with once and for all, and life will return to some kind of normality.
And when lockdown has been lifted, and we are all safe to do as we please, the world will be our oyster yet again! If you’re ready for a little future
dreaming planning, here are some of the things we should definitely do post COVID-19!
3 of the best things to do post COVID-19
#1 -Go on a fantastic holiday
Those of us who were planning to travel this year have had our holiday dreams shattered. If this is the case for you, we hope you have had your payment refunded or have been given the opportunity to book a new date.
If you haven’t booked a holiday yet, there are still several places taking bookings for when normality resumes. These amazing Wine Compass Yarra Valley wine tours are just one example. So, while you might be bemoaning life on the sofa, you can still plan ahead. Use the downtime at home to consider your next dream destination and plan your next travel adventure.
#2 – Have a party with family and friends
Thanks to modern technology, we can still keep in touch with the people who mean the most to us. But as wonderful as Webex, Skype, and FaceTime are, we can’t hug those people we love, and we can’t share a glass of wine with them.
So, when lockdown is over, make it top priority to reconnect with your loved ones, and take the extra effort to make the most of the time spent together. If this period of uncertainty has taught us anything, its that we start to miss people when we don’t have regular contact with them. Celebrate in with gusto, in whatever way is appropriate for you.
#3 – Get outside more
Being trapped inside is a novelty to be sure. We get to spend more time with Netflix, more time with the people we live with, and more time to stare at the four walls of our homes! Two out of three of these is a good thing. But there’s only so much sedentary lifestyle anyone can take.
And while some of us have the luxury of a backyard or a balcony to spend time in, most of us will miss going on walks through places of scenic beauty. We will miss long park days with our dog, outdoor group exercise, picnics, sunbaking, and having time outside alone to reflect on the beauty of the world and our place in it. So, when lockdown is over, spend as much time outdoors as you can. It’s going to be a very welcome change from the prison your home might have become.
