Another Retailing Craze – $12 Jeans Anyone?

Well aren’t you lucky Sydneysiders…Cosmetics giant Sephora opened last week (you can read all about that here) and Forever 21 opened it’s doors at the re-vamped Macquarie Centre today.

If you’re planning on shopping, which you are because it’s the holiday season, you need to check out Forever 21. You can find your perfect Christmas outfit here (and very cheaply at that.) According to their website, it’s ‘the 5th largest speciality retailer in the United States’ and without a doubt it’s going to become a popular place to shop here too.

Forever 21 opens in Sydney at Macquarie Centre

So why should you love this store? The American giant has a very diverse clothing range – they are always onto the latest trends, offering styles such as boho and heritage. This store is certainly not limited to only selling size six clothing either; they offer clothing in plus sizes. And good news if you’re on a budget, prices are tiny (ie Denim starts at $12.95, and singlets come in at $4.95.)

Plaid is a favourite right now in Forever 21’s winter look books but who’s to say we can’t rock them in summer? American celebrities are always sporting Forever 21, including Hayley Williams and Becky G. LOVE21 is a popular line, offering elegant and sleek chiffon and lace tops to divine jumpsuits. If you want to be daring and dazzling this Christmas, try this LOVE21 Sequined Velveteen Dress, Iggy Azalea is flaunting.

It’s definitely a one-stop shop for a complete outfit. Forever 21 offer women, men and kids clothing, accessories and beauty products. Stores like Sportsgirl, Cotton On and Supre will now have to up their game, competing with this famous American chain.

Yael Bradbury, Senior Manager of Macquarie Centre said, “We’ve secured an incredible range of retailers at Macquarie Centre, and our shoppers are loving it. We’ve provided a fantastic new fashion offering for Sydney shoppers, with customer traffic numbers surpassing our expectations since opening the new two level fashion galleria on 16 October.”

The launch of H&M, UNIQLO and Zara at Macquarie Centre, demonstrates that there is an upsurge of the foreign market entering Australia. We now have more options to buy clothing and beauty products without the hassle of online shopping. Yay!

Looks like a trip to Sydney must be on the agenda. I need to check out Forever 21 & I fell in love with Sephora in Paris. Hope Queensland is on their agenda. Lucky Sydney gals, I’m quite jelly.

Does Sephora have an online shop for us Aussies? I’d like to shop that way instead of having to travel all the way into the city.
