Are You A Budding Entrepreneur? It’s Time To Pitchi

Ok, so you have probably become aware that video is just-sorta-kinda taking over the internet. This is big news for anyone who likes to read anything, learn anything or buy anything online (ok, so that’s all of us.Tick.)

You may have even started seeing the odd fashion retailer pushing the boundaries by switching their static product photos into actual video of the models moving around. (See our recent story on a local Australian fashion label, Ambition Fashion who is doing just that.) So, what if I was to tell you that there is now a brand new online selling platform that is 100% video-based?

It’s all becoming very Star Trek isn’t it. Time to upgrade your broadband plan.

Meet Pitchi. Pitchi.com is an innovative online video selling platform, designed to help people sell and buy online in the most personal, engaging and interactive way. Turning the whole online selling thing on it’s head, Pitchi is combining 21st century technology with the age-old desire for people (in this case buyers and sellers) to connect.

In the Pitchi world, sellers are able to “pitch” their wares through video in a way that’s a lot more personal and engaging than typical online retailing. Reminiscent of the sort of interaction you would expect out of a bricks and mortar store, buyers are encouraged to fully engage with and explore the story of what’s on sale, building up a true sense of appreciation beyond a simple transaction.

One of the best elements of this website in my mind, is the ability for entrepreneurs from all walks of life to step out with their products and get themselves (as well as their all-important merchandise) in front of a global audience. There is zero cost for listing via the platform, meaning that anyone with a product and a video recording device can participate. Once upon a time, this was completely unheard of!

With the community feel embodied in Pitchi, it is not only a refreshing change on the retail landscape but quite a liberating turn of events for entrepreneurs who often lack support, funds and the required exposure to take their brands to the next level.  As Pitchi itself says “We believe a Pitchi video can be a tool for empowerment of the entrepreneurial spirit to connect and support buyers and sellers in a digital world.”

Here is one of my favourite clips that is currently listed on the website. Wooden Bow-Ties, it’s a really enjoyable watch.

So, if you’re an entrepreneur and would like to take your first step to meeting buyers (or perhaps getting spotted by a big investor) then definitely head to Pitchi.com and check it out. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! If you are buyer, and want to see some fun and quirky products being talked about by some even more interesting vendors, then again – hop over and take a browse around.

You can check out Pitchi on Facebook and Instagram!

Great platform. Wow startups and businesses have so many awesome tools to use now. Before you had to make your own platform to do this sort of stuff which was hard for most that didn’t have the skills or didn’t have the cash to pay someone to do it. It certainly is a great time to be able to share all your awesomeness out to the world.
