Collette Dinnigan is one of the lucky few ousiders blessed with the opportunity to show her collections in Paris each year. Indeed, my respect for one of our brightest homegrown talents knows no bounds, for she is the epitome of the modern woman that so many of us aspire to be. Just weeks away from her due date, Dinnigan stayed put here in Oz, but couriered her pretty, feminine collection to Paris just the same.
Floral prints were beautifully refreshing, a step past what we have seen thus far, backed onto satin georgette as well as brocade, in pieces that were elegantly cut yet never old fashioned.
For me, standouts were the lace, in beautifully vibrant party dresses that were everything the modern Collette Dinnigan woman is. Youthful, no matter her age, and a little daring but always chic.
