Mr Giorgio Armani himself titled his latest collection Kaleidoscope, from which the idea of splitting light was realized in treated, silvery leathers, otherworldly prints and dazzling embroidery.
Armani is a man who knows his textiles, and the textiles he used spoke in volumes. There was a fine line treaded between casual and elegance, and Armani executed this wonderfully by using cuts and fabrics that brought an extra special air to each and every look. Colour muscled its way in, as after all, this is Spring/Summer collection, in jade and turquoise, paired against a beautiful shade of grey that ran throughout the whole collection- reminiscent of outer space, or something above the clouds.
Towards the end, it was as if Armani had captured the essence of the nights sky, in his evening wear pieces, with delicate layers of chiffon twinkling with the stars themselves.
