This week, Dion Lee made the much anticipated move into the international fashion scene, debuting his incredible Spring Summer 2013 collection to the world.
Lee had already made a mark with his showing of ‘Sequence Breathing’ at LFW earlier this year, and it his his superb craftsmanship which clearly has the big guns like Christine Centenera on board.
The SS 2013 collection showcases Lee’s incredible ability and innovation in textures and fabrics- in delicately sliced neoprene to create texture and dimension, together with clean, crisp tailoring. Styled brilliantly by Centenera, the show reflected her fashion it-girl cool vibe, with references to sportswear chic, mixed with impeccably tailored jackets and skirts. Colours moved elegantly from monochrome to a full spectrum and back again without breaking the flow of the collection.
This is surely the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Lee and the world, and we can’t wait to see where it it goes next.
