I only discovered this trend a little while ago and absolutely fell in love with it!
Perhapse its the carefree motion of the chains, or the boho style of wearing it- this trend absolutely screams Summer to me and I can not wait to try it out!
The subtlty of the dinty chains is an extremely simple way to add that extra wow-factor to your hair during the wamer months where the ability to throw anything on and go is perfectly acceptable. The best part- they can be easily created at home.
By simply attatching chains to a zig-zag style plastic comb headband with a jump ring you can create your own style at home.
- lay out the style of chains you want, generally the longer ones begin in the middle, eventually working its way outside to the shorter chains
- with pliers, open up the jump ring, attatching it to the headband and the chain of choice to the jump ring. Continue this until all the chains have been attatched to your preferred look.
The most important thing to remember, especially when you want the headband part to go almost unnoticed- is for blonde or lighter hair, a clear or white headband is recommended. For brunette or darker hair, a black or brown headband would be the best way.
This headband can also be worn in multiple ways, with the easiest being placing it over your head, about 2 inches from your hair line. The resistance will create a volumising bump that will also work to hide the band.
For the ultimate hair piece statement of the Summer, I would definitely give this look a shot.
