From Dolce & Gabanna to Nina Ricci, designers everywhere are exposing the must try trend this Spring- the Bra Top.
For centuries society has been determined to ensure that what lies underneath, remains underneath- but ofcourse it wouldn’t be fashion if it didn’t give these boundaries a little nudge every once in a while, would it?
Before we all picture this Spring turning into a daily Victorias Secret fashion show, there are ways to sport this edgy trend tastefully.
The idea behind the notion of the bra top is to aggrandize the curvacious female form. With a simple high waisted A-line skirt, a gorgeous hourglass shape can be achieved that is both fun and flirtatious- a perfect way to welcome in the warmer months. Throwing a cute blazer-style jacket or cardigan over the top for the cooler days is also a way to get a more condervative version of this look.
This look, however, is not just restricted to day time wear- pairing it with a figure hugging high waisted pencil skirt or high waisted skinny jeans with your favourite pair of heels that you have been saving for the much awaited Summer nights out.
As you can see, the whole idea is to keep certain parts left to the imagination- while the top is a little more revealing, the stomach and legs should be more covered.
As Winter draws to a close, I could not be more happy to leave it for another year.
