If you are a Miranda Kerr fan, make sure you block off 7pm on the 14th of August in your diaries! Kerr is set to hit the runway with a host of other notable Australian fashion darlings including Jason Dundas, Ambassador Samantha Harris and Australia’s Next Top Model winner Montana Cox for the David Jones Spring Summer 2012 launch.
What to expect from this season’s offerings from David Jones? According to David Jones GM of Womenswear, Sophie Clark, “This season’s campaign is all about celebrating our phenomenal Australian design talent so we took a new approach to shooting the campaign, capturing the fashion moments in the natural beauty of our Australian landscape. The David Jones team traveled to a remote part of Broome to shoot the new campaign.”
Some of the key trends to watch out for on the Spring Summer 2012 runway include Riviera Dreaming (think Jane Birkin in 1969), That Seventies Show (groovy, baby!) and Club Tropicana (those amazing exotic patterns and hothouse florals).
David Jones houses a seriously amazing stable of designers which we will see on the runway including; Akira, Alex Perry, Collette Dinnigan, Easton Pearson, Ginger & Smart, Gary Bigeni, Isola by Megan Gale, Lisa Ho, Ksubi, Romance Was Born, Dion Lee, Josh Goot, Lover, Willow and Zimmermann.
