In my opinion, every woman should have an elegant, classic shirt as a staple in their wardrobes.

Beautiful in winter underneath a tailored blazer and a pair of jeans, elegant with a pencil skirt and pumps for the office, and sexy when a little undone and paired with a mini skirt. The variations are simply endless, but needless to say as I have grown older, the amount of classic shirts in my closet as blown out to cover a huge array of colours.

The beautiful thing about staple pieces is that they don’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Although, if you want a quality silk blend there are many perfect options on the market (think Equipment).
