H&M is following the droves of international high street chains making the move into Australia and has reportedly been shopping for retail space for their flagship Australian store.
According to the buzz on the streets, the first store is set to hit lucky Melbournites first although Sydney is not out of the question.
Considering the caliber of designer collaborations H&M has produced in recent years, we are pretty darn excited to be able to shop the brand without having to use a mail forwarding service.
Other reported international brands intending to hit the Aussie market are Uniqlo, Abercrombie & Fitch and Forever 21.
I’m of two minds about this invasion…on one hand its great for lots of affordable outfits, on the other hand it sucks the individuality out of personal style and makes it less fun to shop high street when you are travelling.
What are your thoughts on the high street invasion?
