Now that we are midway through winter (adieu, Winter Solstice!), what’s better than forgetting about the dreary, grey weather and dreaming about fresh, dewy spring make-up? Today, I’ll be reviewing a product that will most certainly assist you in getting started. It’s the Clinique BlushWear Cream Stick Blush in the shade ‘Rosy Blush’.
PACKAGING
Simple, functional, luxurious. These are the three things that get me salivating at any make-up counter. This tube of cream blush is very practical, and I love the mirror-finish silver tube. The product winds up and down with a twist, so it’s perfect to apply directly on to the cheeks – so, forget sticking your grubby fingers into pans of cream blush. It’s also great for travelling, as you won’t need to bring a blush brush, plus you’ll never worry about shattered blush compacts again!
PRODUCT AND APPLICATION
The shade ‘Rosy Blush’ appears as a medium neutral rose with a brown undertone. I’m not a big fan of brown blushes (thanks to my olive skintone) so I was a bit worried about making me look sallow. Thankfully, the blush applies as a warm flush of sheer rose, setting from a cream to a silky powder finish. It left my skin looking naturally radiant, glowing and healthy. The moisturizing formula left my skin feeling supple and nourished, but also lasted through an 8 hour work day with minimal fading. This blush is suitable for a professional work look, combined with simple brown liquid eyeliner and mascara. Amp it up at night with a deep smokey eye, and a nude lipstick. The cream formula also performs brilliantly when layered under liquid illuminators, such as M.A.C Strobe Cream, $55.
OVERALL VERDICT
A great, easy to use, fool-proof blush that delivers such a natural, radiant finish to your cheekbones…you’ll feel giddy for hours.

PURCHASE AGAIN? Hell yes. I won’t be finishing my generously sized tube of ‘Rosy’ anytime soon, but ‘Glow Blush’ is next on my cosmetic shopping list.
