Josh Goot has smashed the european market with his latest offering for Resort 2013 which is inspired by the underwater colors and textures of the Great Barrier Reef.
Embracing is Australian heritage seems to have struck a chord overseas, with this set to be Goot’s most well received collection to date, judging by the reviews. Joining the likes of Colette Dinnigan and Zimmerman, Good has stepped up to the plate and produced a collection that is entirely his own aesthetic- a feat that is harder than you would imagine to achieve in sucha fluid global market.
The references to the animal world are clear, in zebra and tiger prints, underwater colours and textures, scuba-style tops and dipped hem skirts.
On first inspection, much of the collection is neoprene, but not so according to Style.com. Goot cleverly bonded silk to thin foam to create a more wearable and commercially viable alternative to neoprene which give his silhouette new life and allowed for a fresh new take on tailoring.
Saving EVERY dime for this!
