Perfume is an amazing pick-me-up for those days when you need a little something to perk you right up. Recently there have been a number of great releases, and some classics, available in Australia and I’ve picked out five that have made a mark on the beauty world.
1. Paco Rabanne: Lady Million $115 for 50ml
This fragrance in the number one seller in the UK currently and for good reason! A perfect blend of sweet and floral with woody undernote, it makes a great day or night perfume. It contains notes of jasmine, patchouli, orange blossom and raspberry.
2. Juicy Couture: Couture Couture $99 for 50ml
A fun and youthful scene, Couture Couture is great for those who want a clean, fruity smell. With hints of pink grape, honeysuckle, star jasmine and vanilla, Couture Couture is a definite winner for cocktail parties and lunch dates when you want to smell fresh and fun.
3. Escada: Island Kiss $99 for 100ml
One of my favourites, this fragrance smells like a tropical holiday! It has a very fruity scent, however doesn’t smell contrived or artificial at all. Inspired by Caribbean beaches, the perfume smells of orange, passion flower and mango with hints of magnolia and musk. Great for all ages, you’ll definitely get questions about what you’re wearing when you spritz this on yourself!
4. Jo Malone: Vanilla and Anise Cologne $170 for 100ml
This is a warm, rich scent that is a great winter warmer. It has caramel-rich vanilla, bourbon, spiced star anise and vanilla orchid. This cologne is perfect for day and night and great for fans of sweet smelling fragrances.
5. Tom Ford: Violet Blonde $155 for 50ml
Violet Blonde is an intense floral perfume with musky undernotes. It contains cedarwood, violet leaf, jasmine sambac and baie rose, a great combination of unique yet pleasantly pungent scents. It makes a great night-time perfume, the staying power (fantastic- just saying) something very particular to this perfume.
