Our favourite fringed star, Zooey Deschanel, is the latest celebrity to sign as the face of Pantene.

The New Girl actress says in a behind-the-scenes interview, “I’m really excited to be the newest celebrity Pantene ambassador. It’s actually been a dream of mine since I was a little kid…I’m really into hair.”

Deschanel continues, “I love doing my hair and trying different styles, so it means a lot to me to be involved with Pantene…I love that it’s all about helping you be your most individual self. I feel that it’s a brand that’s very supportive of people expressing themselves.”

Proctor & Gamble marketing director, Kevin Crociata, says she “perfectly fits the fun side of Pantene…her signature long, healthy looking hair is right on target for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Collection.”

The Pantene Beautiful Lengths program was formed in 2006, and distributes wigs made from donated hair to the American Cancer Society Wig Bank.

Deschanel says of the program, “Pantene is helping to provide confidence and beautiful real-hair wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment; you can’t put a price on that.”
