Magdalena Velevska SS 2012/13 MBFWA

Magdalena Velevska embodies everything that makes me proud to be a part of the Australian Fashion industry.

The designer has evolved her signature style into something uniquely hers, yet totally fresh for Spring Summer 2012/13.

Set against a picturesque lavender sky and the rawness of the Maritime Museum here in Sydney, Velevska’s collection takes on a phosphorescent quality, literally in some cases, her pieces incorporate her signature embroidery combined with rick silks and fine knits.

The collection is inspired by the fluid silhouettes and texture of the stingray which becomes clear in the intelligent tailoring that creates movement as the garment walks.

A custom Napoleon Perdis neon lip is paired with a sleek tight up do and some incredible neon masks, that add to the mystique that embodies the Magdalena girl.
