Such is the power of social media. Bringing designers to the forefront so that they’re no longer faceless names but people with personalities we can enamour ourselves to. A social media fiend the real Miss Unkon Courtney Meyer is not, but a real person with a personality and a heart she is as numerous people working with her attested to.
One of those would be Kim Ring. A once protege of the stylist, no doubt Courtney, conscientious, delicate and sweet would have inflicted a mother-like pride in her compatriot as she took her celebratory spin of the runway to a thunderous applause post the show.
It was a roar well deserved. Featuring fairy floss colours of peach, pink and blue all floaty resplendent, elegant and bright. It wasn’t all cut-out paper dolliness, Miss Unkon’s a little more grown up now and strength portrayed in solid silver arm-bands extended to serious style kicks and underwear as outerwear showing this jeune fille’s grown up.
