An ethereal mood was set as dusk fell and the fashion pack arrived at the grandiose church that was well suited to the sizeable and impressive collection that the Manning Cartell team has brought to us for SS 2012/13.
As we sat in pews awaiting the show the implied symbolism was clear, and possibly irreverent in its undertones but the beauty of the collection was proof that their hubris was not unfounded.
Neon brights and floral made a strong appearance, in slinky evening dresses and architecturally cut shorts and a delicious lampshade style mini dress. Peplum tops in florals paired with bright, bold pants is a key look to take away when shopping the upcoming season.
Elements of the sportswear chic trend trickled through- more traditionally in crop tops and tracksuit style pants and dressed in in mesh cocktail dresses that were lifted with touches of peplum.
As well as florals, graphic prints continue their choker hold on the market and were executed brilliantly in original prints, houndstooth and block colours.
This is a collection I can really get behind, it reflects the style of the everygirl whose style flits day to day from look to look to keep it fresh and innovative.
