Since by johnny came into my life about a year ago I now proudly own 4 of his designs. There is something about his use of symmetrical prints and on trend designs that make each piece individual and also flattering to the female form. He has a way of showing off certain areas with just the right amount of stylish sex appeal.
The man behind the brand is Johnny Schembri. He has come a long way since studying in 2008, competing in numerous design competitions and featuring in group shows at RAFW. Some of you may actually know him from season 3 of Project Runway 2011 where he was one of the top 3 finalists.
From the launch of the label in 2009 each collection he has gone from strength to strength, with his first solo show at this years Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week only weeks away I am intrigued to see what he comes up with next. For someone that is already producing such wearable, quality and affordable fashion I don’t think this talented young designer will have any problems impressing us.
Keep and eye out for BWA’s coverage of his show at MBAFW and make sure you check out his E Boutitique. A word of warning though… if the designs don’t get you the prices will, tops for under $100, who doesn’t love that!
