As part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival various Melbourne retailers have collaborated with local design talent to create a serious of incredible, eye catching and engaging window displays. So with my map in one hand and camera in the other, I set off to discover what this was all about.
As much as I love my home town of Sydney there is something about the ease of navigating around Melbourne City that is rather comforting, not once did I feel lost or have to trek for miles to reach key destinations.
I made an effort to visit all windows however the stand outs for me were a flower trumpet arrangement in the David Jones window, the rainbow horse at Honor Among Themes, the crazy cardboard heads in HUSK and the fluro lit staircase in Alice Euphemia (a word of warning with this one as it’s also a shoppers haven) .
If you find yourself in Melbourne CBD it’s worth taking a look at least some of the displays and if you want something a little bit out of the ordinary head to the human anatomy display at Bettina Liano.
The windows are on display until the end of March so head to the LMFF website for a full map and details on stores involved and collaborations.
