Giorgio Armani’s Fall 2012 collection further emphasized the menswear trend that is so on point for Fall this year. These are the sort of garments that actually are “ready-to-wear” summed up perfectly by the desginer as “Easy Chic”.
A very jaunty fedora was teamed with every look- that gave the collection a further masculine edge that was reminiscent of old time gangsters. Dashes of colour were a welcome excursion from the dark velvets, opaque stockings and leathers that made up much of the collection.
The designers flats only approach to footwear only further amplified the effortlessness of the collection, from stylish grey wool pants to sportif style shorts which while not everyones cup of tea, certainly fit with the aesthetic of the show.
The collection moved past shorts into a series of very sweet cocktail dresses and then along into some seriously blingy looks that just scream Armani.
The show had a youthful vibe, lacking the seriousness of some of the other designers who have shown this season- which makes it all the more alluring.
