Jo Scahill, the owner and founder of Australian brand L’avion, demonstrates the versatility of her silk scarves by transforming it into a unique necklace.
What you’ll need:
One large square silk scarf, such as L’avion‘s ‘Melbourne’ Silk Scarf (shown in video)
Steps:
Step 1: Spread your scarf flat out on the table, with the design face-down.
Step 2: Fold in two opposite corners so that they overlap slightly in the centre.
Step 3: Roll in both sides to form a long rope.
Step 4: Tie a large, loose knot in the centre of the ‘rope’. Adjust it so that as much pattern as possible is showing.
Step 5: Tie two smaller, tighter knots halfway between the centre knot and each end of the scarf.
Step 6: Grab both ends and tie it around your neck and voila, you have yourself a beautiful silk necklace!
