The clear success of Mary Katrantzou’s whimsical designs is evident in the fact that her collaboration with Topshop is almost completely sold out online, much to my dismay!
In past seasons we have seen inspiration drawn from lampshades, and again we see print inspiration taken from household objects. This time clothes hangers, rotary dials and clocks made it into the mix.
Architecturally speaking, Katrantzou retained much of her structured aesthetic but deviated with a number of feminine, flowy dresses.
To me, Mary Katrantzou stands head and shoulders above the pack in terms of her eye for prints, colours and shapes which is sure to make her a fashion fixture for decades to come.
