Your Ultimate Gym Checklist

  /  1 year ago  /  87 Comments

If you’ve ever gone to the gym before work, then congratulations! It’s a great idea. Although, it’s not so great when you discover that you only have 15 minutes to take your look from sweaty to smart; and that somehow, every other woman has decided to do the same. Add to this – limited mirror space, half-naked 60 year olds, and hair so frizzy that you’re considering skipping work.

However, there’s no need to panic. These smart, affordable and simple products will have you looking sharp and sweat-free in no time:

1. Face wipes are the ultimate must-have for gym goers. Get a glowing complexion by using one post work-out to remove sweat and old make-up. Try Johnsons Daily Essentials Cleansing Face Wipes $6.99 at beautyheaven.com.au

2. FemFresh Cleansing Wipes. These are live savers when you just don’t have time for a shower – as they cleanse, freshen, and deodorise down there. Shop FemFresh Feminine Wipes $6.45 at pharmacyonline.com.au

3. Anti-White Mark Deodorant. It’s perfect because it tackles white marks, odour, and wetness. We love Rexona’s Crystal Clear Diamond Deodorant $5.95 at myshopping.com.au

4. Dry Shampoo. Effortless to apply, and will leave your hair looking, smelling, and feeling a whole lot fresher than it did 5 minutes ago. Try Batiste Dry Shampoo $9.95 at beautyheaven.com.au

5. Light Body Moisturiser. Excessive sweat can leave your skin dry or irritated, so re-hydrate with this fast absorbing, non greasy moisturiser – it can be used even on sensitive skin. For a bargain buy, grab Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion $7.29 at beautyheaven.com.au

6. Ibis Hair Clips/Hair Bands. Ibis clips are great for getting your hair off your neck and face, and are even stylish enough to be left in for the day. Bonus! Hair bands are essential, and you never know when you might need an extra one…Lady Jayne Ibis Clips $6.69  and Lady Jayne Snagless Hair Elastics $5.39 at chemistwarehouse.com.au

7. Travel-Sized Hairspray and a Comb. Perfect for keeping flyaway’s in place. This winning combo also doubles as a fix for unruly eyebrows. TRESemme has a great Salon Style Freeze Hold Hair Spray which is only $3.45 at okme.com.au

8. Anti-Frizz Hair Serum. It smoothes, moisturisers, and adds shine to dry, frizzy hair. Try the TRESemme Smoothing Creme $6.95 at okme.com.au

myra00
myra00 1 year ago I couldn't get a work out in and not have a shower, I'd rather leave with wet hair (tie it up in a tousled bun) and minimal make up (gloss and light foundation or bb cream) than feel yuck all day. It would be great to get some quick beauty tips, ideas or products others use for after the gym from other readers too!
jenniekellett 1 year ago Great tips... I know I can't live without my dry shampoo :)
Whatthe
Whatthe 1 year ago Thank goodness I don't go to the gym! lol
dapperdolly 1 year ago I dunno, all those wipes contain a ton of unfriendly chemicals, the same can be achieved with good soap and water with a cloth or tissue. The same goes for deoderant, the point of going to the gym is to get fit and sweat and we have sweat glands for a reason, it's very important to sweat and treat the areas gently. Talcum powder or natural body scents/solid odorisers are so much better. Then the combination of dry shampoo/hair spray and anti-friz?
