We are sensing a trend emerging with another Pre-Fall collection with reference to India.
Jason Wu’s luxe Pre-Fall 2012 cites inspiration from Indian maharajas. The pieces are stiffly tailored but in a way that states power and femininity. Colour is evident in beautiful lush greens, burnt oranges and a fun red houndstooth. Evening and day dresses are hand embroidered.
Standout pieces for me have to be the Jason Wu take on the modern tuxedo with perfectly tailored pants and a black silk contrast lapel.
