The Z Spoke by Zac Posen collection saw a departure from his usual evening-wear heavy, signature style and an arrival at a place that could be best described as a mixed bag.
An ‘anything goes’ vibe, and Posen’s belief that today’s fashion is “multi-referential” and should “relate to different people and their different moods”, resulted in a collection that contained floor length sequined gowns, lurex sweaters, gauzy shirtdresses and structured black separates. All of this in the one season! Despite this there were plenty of nods to current Spring trends that included bright pops of neon yellow, graphic and floral prints.
Posen also drew inspiration from a variety of different muses from all walks of life. Writer Stephanie LaCava, drummer from band The Like Tennessee Thomas and model Laura Love were all chosen to debut the collection. It looks like Zac truly has come up with something for everyone this season.
