If you are couture obsessed like me, you have uttered the words Oscar de la Renta with reverence reserved for a special few.
Famed the world over for his spectacularly dazzling gowns, De la Renta has the keen eye and the heart of a true artisan.
Set to a soundtrack of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd (yes!) the designer sent fresh, vibrant looks down the runway for Spring 2012 RTW that were a juxtaposition of couture and casual, creating something that was so very right.
There is a mix of young and old, fresh maxi skirts with lacy midriff tops were followed moments later by tweed and pants.
Of course, his signature gowns closed the show with a series of dramatic pieces that ended with an ethereal, princess-esque moment.
