Trying new eye shadow colours can be daunting and we often stick to what we know best. To help you on your way to bright, bold eyes BWA thought has you covered with our comprehensive eye colour guide!
For brown eyes:
The best colours to use on brown eyes are colours of the same tone e.g. as deep purples, blues, greens and golds.
These will really make your eyes stand out. Don’t think this means large quantities of colour, rather right placement colour.
Our celebrity beauty inspiration for brown eyes is Kelly Rowland who has jumped on the bright eyes trend rocking bright shadows and liners on the red carpet.
Green will bring out the earthy tones and give you a really natural, earthy look. The gold will bring out the yellows and light browns that are in the iris making your eyes look lighter.
For blue eyes:
For blue eyes, go for lighter tones of green, blue, white, silver, purple and browns – these lighter tones will match the tone of your eyes helping to make your look more natural.
Green will bring out any flecks in your iris. Silver will enhance those icy tones, bring some white into your palette to soften the look.
For green eyes:
Focus mainly on natural earthy tones with the occasional metallic version of the colour. These colours include bronze, gold, brown, yellow-browns, greens, green-browns and pale gold.
These colours will truly bring out the colour of your eyes but if you want to be bold, go for a smokey purple eye.
For grey eyes:
You are the lucky ones! Due to grey eyes having so many flecks of different colours, you can wear almost anything!
The best way to make your eyes pop are fun colours like orange and yellow.
