As always, Beyonce brings her A game for Complex magazine’s August Cover.
The almost thirty year old talks time out, inspiration and her latest album “4″. The question for Beyonce has become, where does she go next- when you have accomplished everything you could possibly dream of before the age of thirty life begs the question…what to do next.
The answer for Beyonce, according to Complex is, wherever she damn well wants to. Taking a well earned year long hiatus, Beyowolf didn’t lounge around at home with her rap star husband. Rather, she has set out on a one-woman crusade to change what we hear on contemporary radio and spent her time off absorbing inspiration, studying, recording and more.
“Figuring out a way to get R&B back on the radio is challenging,” she explains. “Everything sounds the same on the radio. With 4 I tried to mix R&B from the ’70s and the ’90s with rock ‘n’ roll and a lot of horns to create something new and exciting. I wanted musical changes, bridges, vibrata, live instrumentation, and classic songwriting.” (Complex Mag).
Read the rest of the interview and feel both incredibly inspired by her self-belief and greatness and slightly despondent that she has achieved so much more than most of us will. Nonetheless she is a beacon for new-age feminists and will be a fantastic role model for many generations to come.
