Vintage Fashion Ads from the 70s

Inspired by a recent email forward I received (thanks Mands!) and in the spirit of Friday funnies, I have collated a gallery of some groovy fashion advertisements from the 1970s. Some retain their stylishness, some will have you saying ‘they didn’t really wear that did they?’ and others are just plain dorky. While many of this year’s A/W shows were inspired by the 70s, I’m not convinced any of these ads were a direct point of reference. My personal favourite? Ah Men jumpsuits: Designed for people like you who make things happen. Why terry towel hooded jumpsuits went out of fashion I’ll never know. Enjoy!
