After launching his first collection during New York Fashion Week in Feb of 2009, at the FLAG Art Foundation and his first runway show in Fall 2010 at the Tents at Bryant Park, Prabal Gurung is now the hot name on the catwalks this year for NYFW.

Born in Singapore and raised in Nepal, his design career took flight while studying in New Delhi, India. After seven years of travelling with many production and fashion houses, he moved to NYC and interned for Donna Karan. From Donna Karen to Cynthia Rowley, from Rowley to Bill Blass- his success was imminent. After five years as fashion director at Blass he launched his own self titiled label.
Since the launch of his line, he has dressed leading ladies from Michelle Obama, Zoe Saldana to Oprah and is a darling of Anna Wintour and Rachel Zoe.
We’re loving his most recent Spring 2011 collection that has just shown at NYFW- so we’ve included some of our highlights in the gallery below. For more, head to www.prabalgurung.com
